Democratic Senator Elissa Slotkin, in the official Democratic response to President Donald Trump’s speech to Congress, accused the head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Elon Musk of digging into the personal data of US residents with his “gang”.
On Wednesday night, Trump gave a 90-minute speech to Congress in which he promised to achieve a balanced US federal budget for the first time in 24 years. Trump added that he also intends to reduce the US national debt by attracting “brilliant, hard-working people”.
“Is there anyone in America who is comfortable with Elon Musk and his gang of 20-somethings using their own computer servers to dig into your tax returns, medical records, and bank accounts?” Slotkin said, her speech was broadcast on CNBC.
