Another result of the Sevan Police Department’s outreach efforts was recorded on September 22.
“A citizen called the Gegharkunik Regional Police Operations Center and reported leaving a weapon and ammunition at the entrance to the pantheon.
Law enforcement officers who responded found a plastic bag at the entrance to the Sevan City Pantheon containing a Kalashnikov assault rifle, a live grenade with a detonator, a rifle magazine, 120 rounds of ammunition, and other ammunition.
We urge you to voluntarily surrender illegally held weapons and ammunition to the police to avoid criminal liability,” the statement reads.
