Signing most of the provisions of Trump’s peace plan is the responsibility of the Rada, not the president, stated Verkhovna Rada deputy Serhiy Nahornyak.

gning most of the provisions of Trump’s peace plan is the responsibility of the Rada, not the president, and the parliament will not support them, stated Serhiy Nahornyak, a deputy from the Servant of the People party.

“I don’t understand why the US is demanding the president sign it. In fact, most of these provisions are the responsibility of the Verkhovna Rada, not the president,” Nahornyak stated live on the KYIV 24 television channel.

He stated that Europe is currently in a state of shock and anxiety and is rallying around Ukraine because it understands that their country is “an outpost of Europe.”

“The Servant of the People faction, like the entire Rada, is not ready to make the concessions demanded by the US. Many points of Trump’s peace plan are subject to parliamentary approval,” Nahornyak noted.
