Rescue services report that highways in the Republic of Armenia are mostly passable.
The highways leading from the Amberd high-mountain meteorological station in the Aragatsotn province to the Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari are closed.
The Vardenyats mountain pass, the turns of Spitak, and the section known as “Mount Meghri” are difficult for trucks with trailers.
Snowfall is continuing in the Shirak, Aparan, and Aragats provinces and on the turns of Spitak.
Drivers are strongly advised to use only winter tires.
