Socialist Party candidate António José Seguro has won the second round of the presidential election in Portugal, Armenpress reports.
After more than 95% of the votes were counted, he received 66.14% of the vote. Seguro’s opponent, André Ventura, candidate from the far-right Chega! (Enough!) party, received 33.86%.
Portuguese center-right Prime Minister Luís Montenegro has already declared his readiness for “positive and constructive” cooperation with Seguro.
