Sweden to provide 63 million euros in aid to Ukraine

The Swedish government will allocate 63 million euros to Ukraine, which will go to support the Ukrainian defense industry and the needs of the armed forces, the Swedish Ministry of Defense reported.

Of these funds, 20 million are planned to support the industrial base of Ukraine, 43 million – as financial support for a number of multilateral initiatives to provide rapid and effective support to the armed forces of Ukraine,” the press release of the ministry says.

It notes that assistance to the Ukrainian industrial base will open up additional opportunities for cooperation between Ukrainian and European defense enterprises: for the joint development of innovative solutions that have been directly tested on the battlefield, as well as increasing Ukraine’s potential in the production and maintenance of defense equipment.
