Syrian rebels announce an amnesty for all military conscripted during Assad’s rule

Syrian rebels have announced a general amnesty for all soldiers conscripted to serve during the rule of the country’s ousted president Bashar al-Assad, Al Jazeera reports.

“Their lives are safe, and no one can attack them,” the rebels’ armed command said in a statement.
