Talks between the US, Ukraine, and Europe have begun in Geneva.

Talks between the US, Ukraine, and Europe on Donald Trump’s peace plan have begun in Geneva. This was announced by Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. The Ukrainian delegation held a series of meetings with representatives of Germany, France, and the UK. “The next meeting is with the US delegation. Their position is very constructive. Overall, a number of meetings in various formats are planned today. We continue to work together to achieve a stable and just peace for Ukraine,” he noted. According to Reuters, the US delegation includes Trump’s Special Representative Steve Witkoff and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who have already arrived in Geneva. As a reminder, on November 22, Donald Trump denied a question about whether the peace plan presented to Ukraine was final. However, the day before, the American leader called November 27 a “real deadline” for Ukraine to agree to the proposal. He also demanded that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy approve the “peace plan.” The document has not yet been officially published. Excerpts published in the media make it clear that Ukraine, in particular, must agree to a reduction in its armed forces and territorial concessions in favor of Russia, while the US and Europe commit to funding the country’s reconstruction. Furthermore, a gradual lifting of sanctions against Russia is expected, as well as the signing of a long-term economic cooperation agreement between Moscow and Washington.
