Tensions Escalate: Iran Strikes Israel and American Military Bases

The situation in the Middle East continues to escalate amid tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a massive strike on Israeli territory. According to statements, the strikes targeted Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
At the same time, Iranian forces claimed that American military bases located in the Middle East were also attacked. Against this backdrop, US President Donald Trump declared that the US no longer needs assistance from NATO countries. He claimed that Iran’s military potential has been seriously undermined. Trump claimed that they have destroyed Iran’s military capabilities, air defenses, and, most importantly, eliminated its leaders at virtually every level, and that they will never again threaten the US or the world.

In turn, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Tehran has the right to strike countries that have allowed the US and Israel to use their territory for military operations against Iran. Citing the death of Ali Larijani, Araghchi stated that Iran’s political system is stable and does not depend on individuals.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also responded to regional developments, stating that Israel’s actions are leading the region to disaster. Active diplomatic discussions on regional developments also continue. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed the situation surrounding Iran during a telephone conversation.

The two sides emphasized the importance of a swift end to hostilities and the need for the conflicting parties to return to the negotiating table. Tensions in the Middle East continue to rise, and regional and international players are attempting to prevent further escalation through diplomatic channels.
