Seth Poghosyan, the brother of Communist Party MP Kristina Poghosyan, is demanding the removal of prayer rooms and chapels from hospitals, as he believes they are insulting to doctors. He wrote:
“Furthermore, chapels and prayer rooms should be removed from hospitals and medical institutions. A patient goes to a hospital solely in hopes of getting a doctor, of receiving treatment; otherwise, they should go to church. This practice demeans the work and professional abilities of a doctor.
P.S.: This is the same as opening a prayer room in the ENA to prevent people from getting electrocuted, while neglecting safety regulations and their strict adherence.”
