After yesterday’s Russian attack, all search and rescue operations in Kyiv have been completed. At the moment, 31 people are known to have died, including five children. This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on his Telegram channel.
The youngest of the victims is two years old.
“I express my condolences to the families and friends of the victims. 159 people were injured, 16 of whom were children. All of them are now receiving the necessary medical care. I thank the rescuers, police, doctors, nurses, utility workers – everyone who is now helping people. This is very important.
Another vile attack by Russia demonstrates the need to increase pressure on Moscow and impose new sanctions. “Although the Kremlin denies their effectiveness, the sanctions are working and should be strengthened, hitting everything that allows such attacks to continue. And it is very important that the world does not remain silent about these attacks. I thank everyone who supported our people. We appreciate that President Trump, European leaders, and our other partners clearly understand what is happening and condemn Russia,” the country’s president wrote.
He specified that in July alone, Russia used more than 5,100 guided bombs, more than 3,800 Shahid drones, and about 260 missiles of various types, 128 of which were ballistic, against Ukraine.
