At today’s government meeting, Nikol Pashinyan announced that he would say something that would provoke strong emotions.
“In my opinion, the public administration system began to function much more motivated when we began discussing the introduction of a performance-based compensation system in March-April of last year,” he said.
According to Pashinyan, the entire government knew that the compensation system would change and that it would be directly linked to performance.
“To prevent the opposition from suffering too much, I’m now talking about the bonus system, a system that distributes millions of drams among government officials. I want to emphasize that in the 2025 budget, we created a reserve of 6.5 billion from the public system, allocated 3.5 billion to improve the efficiency of the public system, and now, as a result, we are paying 78 billion to pensioners,” he noted.
“I’m very sorry, but I’m very happy and satisfied that I made these decisions myself. A thousand apologies. This decision now gives me the opportunity to eat feathers,” Nikol Pashinyan added.
He said that Armenia has become quite a serious state.
“I want to congratulate us all on this event,” Pashinyan emphasized.
