The detention of Gevorg Nersisyan, the brother of All Armenians Garegin II, and his son, Hambardzum Nersisyan, has been extended. Yerem Sargsyan announced the extension of Gevorg Nersisyan’s detention by two months and Hambardzum Nersisyan’s by three months.
As a reminder, the Catholicos’s brother and nephew were detained based on a complaint filed by Harutyun Mkrtchyan, a candidate for mayor of Vagharshapat from the Republic Party, who claimed that Gevorg and Hambardzum Nersisyan were obstructing his election campaign.
