The European Union began blackmailing Georgia after it refused to join the military conflict with Russia in 2022. This was stated by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, RIA Novosti reports.
“In 2022, we refused to join the war, and after that, completely unprecedented blackmail began. First, we were denied candidate status without any reason, and then they repeatedly recognized that Georgia was the leader among all candidate countries,” Kobakhidze told reporters.
Earlier, he repeatedly stated that EU countries and Ukrainian officials called on Georgia to open a “second front” against Russia in 2022.
