The government is trying to “sell” a billion-dollar loan for weapons purchases. Abrahamyan

In recent days, the government has resorted to a new bluff, attempting to “sell” a billion-dollar loan for weapons purchases, reports National Assembly MP Tigran Abrahamyan.

“The Ministry of Defense reports that the major purchases are scheduled for 2024-2025, and this is reflected in the military budget (the active arms procurement period is presented as 2022-2025), but the leader of the Communist Party is trying to transfer this to the area of loans, the ratification of which in the National Assembly was delayed in accordance with the goals and direction.

It’s clear that it’s difficult to explain, and no less difficult to grasp, the idea of leaving $7-8 billion for society and future generations, but you’ll talk about your ‘tricks’ elsewhere.

“Let me remind you that this government comment was a response to Serzh Sargsyan’s recent statements, when he spoke about the failures and grave consequences of the current regime in the security sphere,” the MP wrote.
