The issue of prisoners of war is a non-existent issue for Nikol Pashinyan. This issue interferes with him, interferes with his fairy tale, his propaganda of a fake era of peace, because every time we see our compatriots held in Baku and Yerevan prisons for the freedom to fight for their political views, the peace invented by Nikol Pashinyan falls apart into thousands of fragments, and these fragments have nothing to do with the promises of the fairy-tale reality they offer. Deputy Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia Armen Ashotyan said this in an interview with journalists.
Speaking about the government’s steps to release prisoners of war, he said that even if they have been trying and have not succeeded for five years, they should resign, and people should come who will take these steps better.
When asked whether Ashotyan considers it possible to release prisoners of war after the change of power, he replied: “Of course, there is no doubt about it. I want my compatriots not to be infected with this pessimism that Nikol instills, that nothing can be changed. Everything can be changed. Not everything can be returned now, but it is possible to prevent the decline and defeat of Armenia,” the deputy chairman of the RPA noted, adding that it is also possible to hold the Azerbaijani regime accountable for crimes against humanity, ethnic cleansing and genocide.
“The traitors who unleashed this war can be held accountable. Nikol Pashinyan gave another confession that he unleashed this war knowing what to do. And the Bible says: forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do. In this case, I appeal to the Father not to forgive them, for they knew what they were doing. Freedom for political prisoners,” he concluded.
Let us recall that we previously reported that the Deputy Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia Armen Ashotyan is holding a protest in front of the EU office demanding “the release of Armenian hostages, prisoners of war and political prisoners held in Yerevan and Baku.”
