At night, the situation was very difficult, they were constantly shooting from different places, in different directions, even from opposite heights. Most of them were made from a command position. This was reported in an interview with NEWS.am by Hrach Hovakimyan, a resident of Khnatsakh.
“It did not subside, it was almost like a war. They were shooting towards the village, shooting in the air, it was impossible to get your bearings.”
“My grandson is in the militia, they are putting up posters. There is damage from shelling, a few days ago they even hit my daughter’s yard. There is a hole in the roof, they hit the village headman’s window,” he said.
Speaking about the fact that the KP deputies came to the village a few days ago, Hovakimyan said: “They came in vain, they came, what did they say, how did they help the villagers? I did not know about the meeting. If I had participated in the meeting, I would have said a few things.” I would have asked: “Why did you come?” What answer will they give us? What occasion did they come? Women and children are to blame. What sin did they commit that we were born in this village? They are also sitting in the square and having fun.
“Pashinyan promises that there will be no war, but this is a country engulfed in war, people live in fear. For children, this has become the norm, they say: “We’ll wait until they shoot, then we’ll sleep.”
