Russia is in favor of normalizing the situation in Abkhazia. This statement was made on November 18 by the official representative of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov, Izvestia reports.
“We, of course, are in favor of the fastest possible normalization of the situation in the republic and would like this situation to remain in an absolutely constitutional framework,” he said.
Peskov also called bilateral relations between the Russian Federation and Abkhazia an important priority of Russian foreign policy.
