A breakdown has occurred at Garegin Nzhdeh station, and a large crowd of people are waiting for trains to start running.
“What a shame! We’re late for work,” residents complain.
In an interview with us, Yerevan Metro spokesperson Anna Aslanyan noted that the problem arose due to a power outage in an open section of the metro. “Specialists are currently working to quickly resolve the issue and restore service,” she noted.
Aslanyan added that until the issue is resolved, the metro will operate in single-track and two-way mode.
