The name of the Ministry of Defense should also be changed and renamed the Department for Justifying Defeat and Dismantling Militant Patriotism under the Prime Minister.
Tigran Abrahamyan, Secretary of the Honor faction in the National Assembly, wrote:
The actions of the authorities at the opening ceremony of the Call of Artsakh monument in Yerablur on Artsakh Independence Day were an exclusive gift to the Aliyev family.
At the event, people learned for the first time that the authorities first prevented the opening of the monument on a symbolic day, and then, seeing that it would take place anyway, banned the use of loudspeakers and even staged a “power outage” to protect themselves.
Let me remind you that the construction of the monument was due to the fact that thousands of people did not have the opportunity to visit occupied Artsakh to honor the memory of the dead, lay flowers and burn incense on the graves of the martyrs who died in the heavy battles for the defense of the Motherland and the people.
This monument also perpetuates the memory of more than 200 Artsakh residents who died as a result of the explosion of the fuel depot of the Artsakh Defense Army in 2023.
It is clear that those who writhe underfoot The Turkish-Azerbaijani leaders have no “brakes” and are ready for any sacrilege, but the entire chain of executors – from those who make political decisions to technical assistants – bear unforgivable responsibility for this.
Let no one hide behind Nikol, let no one say behind the walls: “You know, I was against it, but I would not have done it, they would have appointed another person.” You are all participants/accomplices in sacrilege, and people like you have been branded as antiheroes for centuries.
The name of the Ministry of Defense should also be changed to “The Prime Minister’s Office for the Justification of Defeats and Dismantling of Military Patriotism.”
