The Our Way movement will operate in five directions, five working groups will be created. Narek Karapetyan

We have already reported that Samvel Karapetyan’s nephew announced the creation of the volunteer movement “Our Way”.
Karapetyan, who is also the head and coordinator of the movement, noted that the movement will operate in five directions, five working groups will be created. He presented in turn what tasks these groups should solve.

“We called the first group a new economy: work for all, well-being for all. The Armenian economy, consisting of three main sectors: industry, services and agriculture, is mainly based on enterprises left over from the ruins of Soviet Armenia. In 30 years, Armenia has practically not created a new model of economic development. We will assemble a team of international and Armenian economists, and they will develop a new model of economic development for Armenia,” he said.

The second group, according to Karapetyan, will deal with the problems of young families in order to find solutions.

“We call the second group the big Armenian family. To create a big family, young couples have to go a long way, and along the way they face many problems: housing, stable work, problems with the education system.

This group should develop and propose youth and demographic policies. The birth rate in our country is quite low, we are experiencing a decline, and if this continues, according to the UN, by 2100 the population of Armenia will be 1.7 million people. Revolutionary changes in demography and birth rate are needed,” he emphasized.

The third group, according to Karapetyan, is the group developing the concept of foreign policy.

“This is a very important group, and it has a lot of work to do in the coming months. Many have asked us why we did not express our opinion on the initialing of the peace treaty. I would like to note that there are several issues that need to be studied by specialists.

The biggest problem is that of the three signatories, only the American president did not deceive the Armenian people. We need to study the issue and see if there will be real peace. If yes, then the foreign policy model will be directed in one direction, and if not, then all this indicates that there will be another path,” Karapetyan said.

The fourth group of the movement will be engaged in developing programs to solve problems related to the education of talented children and youth.

“Different nations of the world are famous for their outstanding personalities, including the Armenian people, but it is very difficult for indigenous peoples to give their children the education they deserve. We propose to create a group for talented youth and children, and in the future a state program will also be created that will deal with its development.

The program will look like this: from school to university, from work to psychological direction, these children will be under the care of this group to receive special education,” Karapetyan said.

The last group, according to him, is the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church and the Group for the Preservation of National Values.

“You know that Samvel Karapetyan is currently under restrictions for expressing his beliefs and following them. For us, this is a matter of pride. Being under restrictions for the Church is a great honor for all of us. Our view of our Church is also a little different. We see that our Church has a great task in the 21st century. The Church has a great task in the future, it must change us, it must change our society. Something else is being destroyed in our society – pride and arrogance, our Church must teach us all to be modest and hardworking, and not to be proud and empty,” he emphasized.
