The President of Belarus released 123 political prisoners, including those sentenced to long prison terms, at Trump’s request. This was written by Armen Ashotyan, Vice Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia.
“For us, these are two conclusions.
1. If the request for the release of our people from Baku prisons is clearly, purposefully, and compassionately conveyed to the US President, the likelihood of success is high.
2. If the issue of the release of our political prisoners is raised with the US President by the Armenian people (in Armenia, among American Armenians, and the rest of the diaspora), the likelihood of certain, if not complete, success is high.
Do you think we can raise these issues through a nationwide effort?
“For example, in addition to networking and ongoing work, organize a rally of 30,000 people to address the US President on the two issues I mentioned,” he wrote.
