The RA Investigative Committee is not providing information on the 300 mercenaries who fought on the Azerbaijani side during the 44-day war.

In January 2023, former Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Argishti Kyaramyan stated on the Public Television of Armenia that factual information had been obtained on more than 4,000 members of at least 12 terrorist groups involved in the 44-day war, and approximately 300 terrorists had been identified.

A request was sent to the Investigative Committee asking for information on the mercenaries.

“The 300 mercenaries who participated in the 44-day hostilities of 2020 have been identified, but the information provided is not subject to publication,” the Investigative Committee reported.

It’s worth noting that in the same interview, Kyaramyan noted that the investigation has proven numerous crimes committed by Azerbaijan’s military-political leadership, including crimes against humanity, inciting and waging a war of aggression, using unauthorized weapons, torturing prisoners, killing prisoners, and showing disrespect for the bodies of the dead.

However, in response to our latest inquiry about the progress of the criminal case, the Investigative Committee stated that “the investigation is ongoing.”
