The United States plans to build a new class of warships in 2-2.5 years, US President Donald Trump announced on December 22.
“We’re probably talking about 2 or 2.5 years. It’s a counteroffensive,” the American leader emphasized, responding to a question about who the shipbuilding program is aimed at and whether it’s aimed against China.
He noted that he has very good contacts with China.
“I have an excellent relationship with President Xi,” Trump said.
