Moscow hasn’t yet received clarification from Washington regarding US President Donald Trump’s statements about nuclear testing, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said, according to TASS.
Trump previously stated that he had instructed the Pentagon to immediately resume nuclear weapons testing, citing the fact that some other countries were already conducting them. He did not specify which tests he was referring to or whether they included the detonation of nuclear warheads.
Peskov emphasized that neither Russia nor China had resumed nuclear testing and were committed to their obligations in this area. He noted that Moscow was awaiting clarification from Washington.
