The world’s richest countries have the largest foreign debt, Communist Party member Arman Yeghoyan stated in the National Assembly, boasting that Armenia can borrow large sums.
“Many countries would dream of borrowing €236 million each from the European Development Bank and the European Investment Bank,” he said.
According to the Communist Party member, most countries would be turned down because they wouldn’t be sure they would repay the money.
The Communist Party member insisted that the richest people have the largest loans: “How can a poor person borrow?”
