It is sad that we, the clergy, have to leave our spiritual work and come here to engage in politics, because there are no real politicians in Armenia. This is a shame, Deacon Artashes Ajapahyan, nephew of Archbishop Mikayel Ajapahyan, the leader of the Shirak Diocese, told reporters in the courtyard of the Gyumri Municipality.
“Their policy is to arrest, to serve Turkish interests, I don’t see any politicians in Armenia. Our dream is not to be here, they are forcing us to leave our work and defend our country. I can simply say that we must all unite. If we stand up, the police forces will join us,” Ajapahyan said.
