Members of the constitutional movement “НЖАР” are holding a protest action in front of the General Prosecutor’s Office. Nina Karapetyants, one of the founders of the movement, a human rights activist and a candidate for prime minister, told journalists at a briefing that the pre-election campaign, which has not yet begun, is already taking place in unequal conditions, and on the eve of the elections, Public Television does not comply with the laws established by the state.
“Public television never performed its function, it was always used for political purposes. There has never been similar coverage of anti-Armenian projects on public television. There have never been similar violations of freedom of conscience, rights of a religious organization. We consider this a very serious problem. The General Prosecutor’s Office must assess all this. It is necessary to initiate a judicial process. “The country cannot be allowed to be in the hands of one group,” she noted.
Nina Karapetyans emphasized that unconstitutional laws are covered by public television, while there are no mentions of the sacred holidays of the church.
Members of the constitutional movement “НЖАР” filed their complaints in the form of an appeal to the General Prosecutor’s Office, headed by Anna Vardapetyan.
