I am not afraid of this question, I have always been afraid and still am afraid of the anti-Armenian policy of these capitulating populists, which will bring many, many more complications to our people. The third President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said this in a conversation with journalists after the court session, answering the question of whether he was afraid of extradition to Azerbaijan at the request of that country.
“If we delve a little deeper into the situation in the courtroom, then if the Armenian people tolerate that the ruler of the country, violating the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, regardless of whether I am this citizen, Poghos or Petros, extradites him to another country only and only because this citizen has fulfilled the laws of the Republic of Armenia, the requirements of the Constitution, which was assessed as a crime by the opposing country, then what can I say in such a case?” the second president said.
As for whether Pashinyan’s “Steel Mandate” meant filling prisons with opposition members before the elections, he responded: “Aren’t they overcrowded now? There have never been so many political prisoners in the history of the Republic of Armenia, and if this continues, their number will increase.” As for whether the Republican Party of Armenia will participate in the next elections if the impeachment process does not lead to a change of power, Sargsyan said that the time will come and they will make a decision.
