During the upcoming visit to Armenia, we will discuss the issue of the North-South corridor, and as for the East-West route, it will naturally also become a convenient platform for developing the trade route in this direction. This was stated by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Tasnim reports.
“The current concerns are related to the presence of American companies in the region. The concerns are caused by the fact that these companies usually position themselves as regular companies, but in the future they may engage in other types of activities. We will discuss the existing concerns and worries,” he noted.
As reported by the Mehr agency, Pezeshkian stressed that Iran and Armenia have historical and strategic relations and have always cooperated.
“During this visit, we will discuss issues of strengthening economic and cultural cooperation, which will contribute to joint development. There are concerns about the regional presence of American companies, which will also be on the agenda of the visit. Important documents on cooperation in the fields of mechanical engineering, construction, mining, art and tourism have been prepared and will be signed. These relations will undoubtedly expand in the future,” he noted.
