Residents are raising the alarm about a trash bin placed in the middle of Nver Safaryan Street, and the cause, of course, is the potholes.
The photo we received shows a trash bin, managed by the Yerevan Municipality, parked in the middle of the street, with drivers trying to avoid it.
“The trash bin has been standing in the middle of the street for three days now. It was most likely placed there by people because it’s a very deep pothole, and it was raining. Perhaps drivers won’t notice it and fall into it,” one local resident told us.
Yerevan Mayor’s Press Secretary Artem Karapetyan noted that a temporary solution has been proposed to address the problem.
“The pothole has now been patched, and then, like the central section, it will be thoroughly repaired during construction and improvement work,” Karapetyan noted.
