The authorities see the solution to the problems that arise at different stages of conscription for military service not in reducing corruption, closing existing “loopholes” or eliminating the causes of evasion of military service, but in the form of, so to speak, legalization of all existing risks.
The government, which first equates the mission of protecting the homeland with ordinary professional employment, turns service into simple work, and then proclaims a hero not a servant who is ready to sacrifice his life for the homeland, but a simple taxpayer, asks the question of why people avoid service, why people hesitate to choose a military profession or why career officers and contract soldiers quit.
The government, by attacking the foundation, the value system and the ideological basis of the armed forces, wants to convince people that the basis of the army’s combat capability, its personnel and the threatening state of conscription are exclusively finances, which can be changed at the cost of new social polarization and internal division.
