Today Pashinyan will declare himself the government, tomorrow, Catholicos, and one day, he’ll get fed up and declare himself a prisoner. Abrahamyan
National Assembly Member Tigran Abrahamyan wrote:
“The authorities merely showed modesty and, on the day of Sunday liturgy, summoned only the clergy of the Aragatsotn Diocese for an investigation.
Couldn’t they have rounded up everyone at once, ‘dancing’ from house to house without summoning them for an investigation, from candle sellers to high-ranking clergy, and sent them to prison camps with an extraordinary convocation of the National Assembly?
But they didn’t do that. Instead, they merely committed acts of defamation, then took the trouble to open a Telegram channel and disseminated it through their own propaganda tools. In short, they are following orders.
And what do laws and the constitution have to do with the authorities? It doesn’t concern them; it’s written for us mere mortals, and they are above all else.
“Pashinyan declares himself the government today, declares himself Catholicos tomorrow, and one fine day gets tired and declares himself a prisoner.”
