Trial on fabricated cases of Ruben Vardanyan underway in Baku

Another trial on fabricated cases against former Artsakh State Minister Ruben Vardanyan is underway in the Baku Military Court.

The previous hearing took place on June 3, during which Ruben Vardanyan filed a motion to issue an indictment to his family and raised objections to the composition of the judges.

It should be noted that the fabricated cases of Artsakh leaders and other officials are being considered separately. The next hearing is scheduled for June 12.

They are accused of “terrorism,” “war crimes,” “genocide,” and other “crimes.”

Let us recall that a total of 15 Armenians will appear in court: former presidents of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan, Arkady Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan, former state minister of Artsakh Ruben Vardanyan, former speaker of the National Assembly Davit Ishkhanyan, former commander-in-chief of the Defense Army Davit Manukyan, former foreign minister Davit Babayan, former commander of the Defense Army Levon Mnatsakanyan, civilians: Vasily Beglaryan, Erik Ghazaryan, Davit Alaverdyan, Gurgen Stepanyan, Levon Balayan, Madat Babayan, Garik Martirosyan, Melikset Pashayan.
