South Korean President Lee Jae-myeon presented US President Donald Trump with the Republic of Korea’s highest state award, the Grand Order of Mugunghwa, and a replica of the famous golden crown from the Silla era, in recognition of Trump’s contributions to peace on the Korean Peninsula.
“Thank you very much, this is a great honor for me. We have a great relationship with South Korea, and we hope that it will continue to be so in the future,” Trump said upon accepting the award.
