US President Donald Trump called Crimea very beautiful, but twice forgot to mention that the peninsula is in the ocean.
“It’s beautiful. It’s a huge piece of land that stretches right into the ocean, right into the Black Sea, and it’s so beautiful. I mean, it’s so beautiful,” he said in an interview with American journalist Mark Levin.
Trump noted that American media often criticize him for being too soft on Russia. “And then they say that Donald Trump is a friend [of Russian President Vladimir Putin]. I didn’t give him Crimea. Crimea is a huge territory, I would say the size of Texas or something like that, right in the middle of the ocean,” the American leader continued. “It’s wonderful, and it was given to me by [former US President Barack] Obama. And the press doesn’t even talk about it,” he said.
