US President Donald Trump has ordered the Pentagon to prepare for possible military action in Nigeria if the West African country does not stop killing Christians. Trump wrote this on the social media platform TruthSocial.
“If the Nigerian government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the United States will immediately cut off all aid to Nigeria and possibly invade that now-disgraced country with force to completely destroy the Islamist terrorists who are committing horrific atrocities,” he wrote.
Trump noted that the Nigerian government should hurry.
Following the US president’s statement, Pentagon Secretary Pete Hegseth announced that his department had begun preparing for possible military action in Nigeria.
