With the TÜRKSAT 6A satellite, in which the share of local components exceeds 80%, Turkey has become one of 11 countries capable of producing its own communications satellites. Erdogan noted that with the launch of the Türksat 6A satellite, the audience reach of Turkish satellites will increase from 3.5 billion to 5 billion people, local media reported.
He added that amid the unfolding events in the world, “a historic window of opportunity is opening up for Turkey.” “We are very close to taking our rightful place in the world system,” Erdogan said.
