On October 20, 2024, at around 08:00, the patrol and guard service of the RA MIA police in Yerevan noticed two young men behaving suspiciously in the Shengavit administrative district, near Yerevan Lake.
As reported by the RA Investigative Committee, the young men were taken to the police station on suspicion of purchasing, storing, using and selling drugs.
It was established that these individuals are citizens of the Republic of Cuba. During a personal search, a folding knife was found on one of them, and 34 packages of a white crystalline mass weighing 46.44 grams were found on the other. The man stated that it was a “crystal” type drug. A criminal case was initiated. An examination was ordered, as a result of which it was found that this was the narcotic “a-PVP”.
According to the investigation, the drug was purchased through a telegram channel from an unknown person, payment was made through a payment terminal.
A preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen for one detainee.
