Ukraine has reached an agreement with the Portuguese government on the joint production of naval drones, announced Oleksandr Kamyshin, an adviser to Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“Ukraine and Portugal have agreed on the joint production of Ukrainian naval drones,” Kamyshin wrote in a social media post.
Kamyshin did not provide any further details about the countries’ joint work. He said the drones would help Portugal “defend Europe from the sea.”
Zelenskyy later wrote on his Telegram channel that Ukraine and Portugal had signed a joint statement confirming their partnership in the production of naval drones.
As a reminder, we previously reported that Portuguese Prime Minister Luis Montenegro was in Kyiv on an official visit.
