Aid workers from Save the Children and World Central Kitchen were killed in the past 24 hours during IDF strikes on the Gaza Strip, according to UN Humanitarian Coordinator for the Occupied Palestinian Territory Muhannad Hadi.
“Four more aid workers were killed in Gaza in Israeli airstrikes. Three from World Central Kitchen were killed when their vehicle was hit at a distribution point in Khan Yunis. Another person from Save the Children was killed in a separate airstrike in southern Khan Yunis,” Hadi said in a statement released by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
He also stressed that more than 330 aid workers have been killed in the enclave since October 2023. “These people are the last resort for more than two million Palestinians who are living in unimaginable conditions in the Gaza Strip. Their killings are an unacceptable violation of international law and further worsen the catastrophic humanitarian situation,” he concluded.
