The United States, by attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities, has entered into a direct war with the Islamic Republic, said the spokesperson for the Khatam Al-Anbiya Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces.
“The criminal America, continuing to provide comprehensive support to the aggression of the Zionist regime [i.e. Israel] through a clear violation of the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has entered into a direct war with Iran and attacked the sacred Iranian soil,” he said on the air of the Iranian state television and radio.
Early Sunday morning, the US Air Force launched a massive strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities at Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan. President Donald Trump said the US military had “destroyed” Iran’s nuclear facilities. And Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the US will be retaliated against.
