The US wants to reach a deal with Iran: Rubio confirmed.
On Monday, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the US expects to reach an agreement with Iran through diplomatic means, but he is not inclined to overestimate the prospects of such an outcome.
“The President always prefers peaceful and negotiated solutions. He has demonstrated a willingness to talk and meet with anyone, and I think there is an opportunity to reach an agreement diplomatically that takes into account the issues that concern us.
We will be very open to this, but we do not want to overestimate the prospects. It will not be easy,” he said at a joint press conference with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
