The Anti-Corruption Committee reports that criminal cases have been opened against two more former officials in connection with the March 1 case.
“In particular, charges have been brought against the individuals who held the positions of commander and deputy commander of the patrol regiment of the Yerevan City Police Department at the time. They are accused of organizing the actions of various police units to disperse peaceful protesters holding a sit-in in Freedom Square, using violence and special means, on March 1, 2008,” the committee confirmed.
