The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, promised to transfer a new tranche of aid to Kyiv under existing programs in the amount of €3.5 billion in March. She said this in a speech in Kyiv, the text of which was distributed by the press service of the European Commission.
“Europe is here to strengthen Ukraine in critical days. I can announce that a new tranche of aid to Ukraine in the amount of €3.5 billion will arrive in March,” von der Leyen said.
The European Union continues to make payments to Kyiv under the macro-financial assistance program, in the amount of €50 billion until the end of 2027, which the European Commission attracted in the form of a loan with repayment until 2042.
