The Russian Federation completely rejects security guarantees that will be provided to Ukraine if they are based on the logic of isolation and confrontation with Russia. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at a press conference after talks with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
“When now, after the Russian-American summit in Alaska, where significant progress was made in defining the contours of the settlement and specific parameters, European countries went to Washington together with Mr. Zelensky and tried to advance their agenda there, aimed at ensuring that security guarantees are based on the logic of isolating Russia, uniting the Western world with Ukraine, with the aim of containing the Russian Federation, continuing the policy of aggressive confrontation with it. Of course, this cannot evoke in us any other feelings than complete rejection,” the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
