“We, the undersigned archbishops and bishops of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, hereby express our filial and unconditional loyalty to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and its nationally elected Patriarch — His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians.
We consider any attempt to resolve intra-church matters through political intervention unacceptable and dangerous — regardless of the reasoning behind it. All issues related to the governance and internal life of the Church must be resolved solely through brotherly love, through the high consciousness befitting apostolic bishops, and through the competent ecclesiastical and conciliar bodies, in accordance with the active canonical procedures of our Holy Church.
We deem unacceptable and condemn the arbitrary omission of the Catholicos of All Armenians’ name during the sacred ceremony of the Divine Liturgy, as it constitutes a gross violation of liturgical order and, from an ecclesiological standpoint, contains elements of division.
We are confident that the unity and peace of our Holy Church are above personal, group, or other interests and will be strengthened through the path of love, truth, and justice — as confirmed by the apostolic exhortation: “I appeal to you, brothers, to keep away from those who cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine you have learned. Keep away from them.” (Romans 16:17)
We are convinced that through the collective efforts of our episcopate, we will find effective solutions for the benefit of our Holy Church.”
