The basic iPhone 15 has become the leader in global smartphone sales in the third quarter of 2024. This is stated in the report of the research company Counterpoint Research.
The second and third places were taken by the more expensive iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro. Moreover, as analysts note, Pro models accounted for half of iPhone sales in the third quarter for the first time.
Samsung’s Galaxy A series of smartphones, known for their affordable prices and long software support, took four places in the top ten most popular devices thanks to their popularity in growing markets and their focus on affordable models. Thus, the fourth to seventh places were occupied by: Galaxy A15 4G, A15 5G, A35 5G and Galaxy A05 smartphones.
Meanwhile, the base model of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S24 series remains in tenth place and is in the top ten for the third quarter in a row. According to experts, this is the first time since 2018 that the Galaxy S model has appeared in the top ten of global sales.
iPhone 14 and Xiaomi Redmi 13C took the eighth and ninth places.
