Yerevan is becoming practically impassable. Huge potholes line almost every street, causing enormous material damage to people every day. This speaks to a widespread lack of attention, from tenders to quality control to installers and construction managers. This doesn’t bother anyone, not a single law enforcement officer. Today’s Yerevan resembles a village from the 1990s. This is what Vahe Hovhannisyan, a member of the Alternative Projects group, wrote.
“Nobody cares, but they’re looking for Charchyan, Professor Charchyan. The man who probably saved a quarter of Armenia from disability. The man who treated and helped throughout his life. This isn’t politics, it’s human morality.
As part of their campaign against the church, they are trampling all the institutions belonging to the church, stopping at nothing. “Could it really be that those who say, ‘We don’t participate in politics,’ a significant number of whom Charchyan has helped and will certainly help, simply ignore this ‘absence of politics’? Is this the situation in the country? Is society preparing for elections? Is this the country that Armenian voters like?” Hovhannisyan wrote.
