Yonhap: South Korean President Denies Coup Accusations

South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol, whose powers were suspended as a result of impeachment in parliament, denies charges of rebellion, but is ready to cooperate with the investigation. This was reported by the Yonhap news agency, citing Yoon Seok-yeol’s lawyers.

He also intends to state his position at the court hearings, if they are open. Yoon Seok-yeol’s lawyers were unable to answer whether he would appear for questioning at the prosecutor’s office on December 21. He did not appear for questioning on December 15.
